He began his career in the financial services industry, where he spent 12 years in a foreign bank honing his expertise in both consumer and corporate banking and 7 years in local financial institutions in retail banking operations. A significant chapter of his career unfolded over 13 years in the e-payment industry, where he played a crucial role in stakeholder engagement, customer relations, and business development. His leadership was particularly prominent as the Senior General Manager and Head of the Urban Mobility Division, where he drove key initiatives in cashless payments and innovations within the sector.

In 2022, En Azmi made the bold decision to leave the corporate world and embark on entrepreneurial ventures aligned with his passions for education and green technology. He is the co-founder of Genesis Excel Academy (GEA), an innovative EdTech platform that connects students and teachers globally, and Kuro EV Sdn. Bhd., a company dedicated to supporting the shift to electric mobility. Through these ventures, he has continued to champion innovation, sustainability, and the democratization of education and clean technology.
